Aurora main

Aurora

This sculpture, like most of Eppe's work,  has an implicit movement; a sense of past and present. Aurora expresses the tension between control and freedom. Contrast. Harmony. It's about finding a balance between extremes. Not only figuratively, even literally he brings opposites in terms of work together: often a female body and a male body in one sculpture united, like two sides of the same coin. Cold, hard marble looks like warm, peachy skin.
